An alumnus of the Cranfield Business School, UK; Wharton Business School, U.S; and North Staffordshire, UK; he was Head of Marketing, Indian Oxygen Ltd. (now BOC India Ltd.). He was also the Senior Vice President - Marketing with one of the Aditya Birla Group Companies.

He has been teaching Industrial Marketing, Marketing of Services, Strategic Marketing and other topics on Marketing for many years and offers first-hand experience in Strategic Alliances and Brand Building in Industrial Markets, Corporate Marketing, Relationship Marketing, Loyalty Building etc. in his Programs.

Prof. Pratip Kar is a well known Finance specialist with an experience of over 30 years in the field, a major part of which was devoted to the securities market. An academically inclined professional, Prof. Kar’s interest areas are teaching and research in corporate governance; regulation and development of securities market, establishing regulatory architecture for securities market in emerging market.

A key contributor to the transformation of the Indian securities market and in the formulation and implementation of policy for developing, modernising and regulating Indian securities market in his capacity as Executive Director of SEBI, Prof. Kar has also served as the Dean of Finance and Corporate Governance at the Tata Management Training Centre (TMTC). He has also worked with Stern Business School, Harvard Business School and Ross School of Management of Michigan University in delivering programmes on leadership and strategy at TMTC. A prolific writer, Prof. Kar has a number of publications to his name and is a regular contributor to financial broadsheets such as Economic Times, Financial Express, Business Standard etc.

Prof. Mukhopadhyay, an engineer from IT-BHU, Varanasi and a PGDM from IIM Calcutta, was a Senior Vice President at SREI. He has 17 years of professional experience with companies like BOC India, Dunlop, IBP- Balmer Lawrie and Alghanim - one of the largest companies in Kuwait.

He had also worked with the subsidiary of T. Hoare & Co. where several of his equity research reports were published from their London office. He has been a visiting faculty at IIM Calcutta and other leading B-Schools and has been undertaking consulting assignments, in-company trainings and MDPs. Prof. Mukhopadhyay been regularly representing Globsyn and conducting workshops for Tata Motors Jamshedpur for more than 5 years. He has also conducted workshops at IBM, Cognizant, Mcnally Bharat, Titan, Lafarge, to name a few. Apart from this he has also presented a paper at an International Conference organized by GABER of USA at Thailand. Many of his articles have been published in accredited journals. He is currently involved in a UGC funded project along with a senior faculty of Jadavpur University.

Prof. Subhendu Dey a Mechanical Engineer from Osmania University and PGDCPM from IIM (Kozikode) has over fifteen years of experience in training, career counseling, operations, and business development fields. He started his career with his own venture and ran it successfully for five years. In this period he has trained more than two thousand students. He was also the Corporate Head- Academics of a top b school in India. He has also taken part in many seminars and career conferences.

Prof. Resse has done his PhD. from The University of Arizona and currently the Clinical Professor of Finance at Tulane University, USA. He has worked as the Trust Officer in Crestar Bank, Virginia Beach with high net worth bank customers in the areas of estate planning and investment management. He also has the experience of working as expert witness in preparation for several securities arbitration hearings. Prof. Resse teaches 'Portfolio Management', and 'Investment' to Globsyn Business School students.

A PhD from University of Nottingham, Dr. Don Finlay is the associated dean of Coventry University, UK and often comes down to Indian to teach different subjects to Globsyn Business School students. His researchs include mainly in the general area of economics with particular reference to innovation and entrepreneurship. He has published articles on topics like – Long Range Planning, Public Administration, Public Money and Management, Entrepreneurship and Regional Development etc. in leading journals.

An alumnus of prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur Prof. Basu has an experience of 32 years in Banking industry and has worked with State Bank of India, and Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi Ltd. in Indian and abroad. He has successfully conducted different programs in the area of Corporate Finance, Fund Raising, Risk Management etc. at IIM Calcutta. Prof. Basu’s has a number of research papers under his credit, like – ‘A Consistent Way Towards Investment Decision’, ‘Banking in India: Interest Rates, NPA and Fragility’ etc.

Dr. Prithiviraj S. Banerjee has done his doctoral studies from Florida State University, USA with concentration in finance. An MS in Finance from Boston College, USA Dr. Banerjee has taught investments, derivatives, corporate finance, financial markets and institutions, and quantitative methods in business etc. in many US and Indian colleges and institutes. His notable works include articles on The Forecasting Power of the Risk and Sentiment Components of Implied Volatility (co-author), and Impact of 1992 Energy Policy Act on Financial Policies of Investor Owned Utilities. He has also referred many international journal articles. Prior to joining Globsyn he was associated with Boston College (USA), Florida State University (USA), University of Akron (USA), and PriceWaterhouseCoopers (India).

A Ph.D (Economics) from University of California, Riverside, USA, Dr. Chakrabarti is associated with Department of Economics - Calcutta University. He brings along with him a vast teaching and mentoring experience. Apart from a large number of research papers published both at the international and national levels, he has many books to his credit including Margin of the Margin: A Profile of an Unrepentant Post-Colonial Collaborator, Recasting Class and Third World, Recasting Class and Third World: Inaugurating the World of the Third among others.

Salvatore Cantale, a PhD from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France is the Clinical Professor of Finance and Economics at the AB Freeman School of Business (Tulane University). His teaching interest includes Corporate Finance, International Corporate Finance, Financial Intermediation, and International Financial Management. He has been associated with the university since 1998. He has a number of Working Papers under his name on Banking and Stocks. He teaches ‘Valuation’ to Globsyn Business School students.

Dr. Harjit Sekhon is the faculty of Marketing in Coventry University, UK. He has rich experience of working in various Marketing Research and Marketing positions in industry. His notable journals include Measuring Trust in Financial Services: The Trust Index, Multi-Brand Loyalty Card Schemes, Buyer Seller Relationship in The UK Insurance Market: Is This The Key Competitive Advantage, etc.

Prof. D. P. Chattopadhyay who has completed his M. Phil (First Class with Distinction), is a graduate of University of Calcutta. Currently pursuing his doctoral-fellowship in HRD & OD, Prof. Chattopadhyay has also done his PGDM, along with a program in marketing, sales and advertising management from IMM, Kolkata. He has over 37 years of academic and corporate experience and has had very successful stints in reputed organizations like Merck & Co, Organon and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Limited. In addition to being an extremely astute academician, Prof. Chattopadhyay is a life member of National HRD Network and ISTD and a member of  ISABS, NIPM & CMA. Prof Chattopadhyay completed a program on Strategic Human Resource Leadership from National HRD Network and has also attended Human Laboratory Process Course from Indian Society of Applied Behavioural Sciences.

A PhD and MA in Economics from University of California, USA Prof. Paul Spindt holds the prestigious ‘Keehn Berry Chair of Banking & Finance’ at AB Freeman School of Business, Tulane University. Winner of multiple ‘Outstanding Teacher Award’ Prof. Spindt has a number of journal publications in the field of Risk Management, Stock Market etc. to his credit. Some of his latest journal publications are – ‘Are Share Prices Informative? An IIT engineer and PGDM from IIM Calcutta. He has a rich and varied experience with a large nationalised bank spanning over twenty eight years. He has represented the bank in various committees at the national level. Prof. Sen also has a rich exposure in international business and working of SEZs. As a Chief Executive he has had the distinction of implementing a project for manufacturing FIBCs which went on to win a National Award for its expert performance.

Professor of Business Strategy, Applied Management and Marketing, Simon Chadwick joined Coventry University Business School in 2007. With over 30 years of industry and teaching experience, Prof. Sengupta is a First Class Graduate Engineer in Metallurgical Engineering from IT-B.H.U and Post Graduate from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi. During his industry tenure Prof. Sengupta has worked with renowned companies like Steel Authority of India, Exide Industries Ltd. etc. At Exide he was the Vice President (Chief), Commercial and headed Import & Purchase Divisions of the company. Prof. Sengupta was also a visiting professor at Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Kolkata. Many of his articles have been published in leading financial dailies in India.

Head of Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting in Coventry University, UK, Prof. Shinder Thandi also teaches at Globsyn Business School. He has published a number of books, journal articles and conference papers on his specialist areas.

A Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics (Specialisation in International Economics) with over 37 years of teaching experience, he retired as Reader in Economics from Presidency College, Kolkata. He has more than hundred papers to his credit.

An alumnus of Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta Prof. Kaveri Narang is currently pursuing her Ph.D. program from Aligarh Muslim University. Prof. Narang has experience of conducting training and MDP programs for different top level organizations like – Indian Institute of Management (Calcutta), Godrej & Boyce, Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Bengal National Chamber of Commerce & Industries. An Electrical Engineer from BITS, Pilani Prof. Sudhir Chand is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad), Cranefield School of Management (UK), and Jamanlal Bajaj Institute, Mumbai. His 36 years of industry experience includes 28 years in Exide Industries where he became the Director. A past president of Calcutta Management Association (CMA) he was also a member of Eastern Regional Council of CII and Secretary General of Indian Battery Manufacturers’ Association. He has also conducted many MDP programs in IIM, Calcutta and CMA.

Venkat Subramanium is the Associate Professor and Exxon Professor of Finance and teaches Corporate Finance, Financial Institutions, and Valuation Theory in Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business. He has completed his PhD from University of Texas and worked as a Graduate Assistant there for four years. He joined Tulane University in the year 1994. He has co-authored in many working papers on Corporate Cash Holding, Cross Sales and Conglomerate Discount, Equity etc.

A first class LLB from Coventry University, UK and an LLM from Warwick University, UK, Prof. Sukhinder Panesar is the faculty of Law. Sukhninder’s research is primarily focused in the area of - Property and Trust Law, and International Business Law. He also has a number of publications to his credit including Fiduciary Relationships and Constructive Trusts in a Commercial Context, Is a Ship Mortgage Inherently Different From a Mortgage of Land?, Is a Clean Bill of Lading a Document of Title, etc.

Steve Jewell is a senior lecturer at Coventry University Business School and Globsyn Business School. Earlier Steve worked as the director of a management consultancy company called Leading Minds which was a centre for the Chartered Manager Institute.

Prof. Phil is currently Head of International Development for the Faculty of Business, Environment and Society of Coventry University, UK. Phil has published over 120 refereed papers, 14 books and booklets, 36 published conference papers and 5 edited volumes. In his International Development role, Phil is responsible for institutional links, student and staff exchanges and student recruitment in Europe and further afield.

Prof. Pradeep R has done his PGDHRD from Symbiosis Centre of Management and HRD and MBA from University of Kerala. He has extensive industry experience in the field of HRIS.

A Cost Accountant, Prof. Mitra has taught in various institutes like Calcutta University (Department of Business Management), Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India, National Academy of Customs, Excise & Narcotics, Central Excise Revenue Audit, and Indian Defense Accounts Service. He has an extensive academic experience of over 10 years and has visited Sultanate of Oman on receiving invitation for delivering lecture in one of the B-schools in Muscat. Prof. Mitra is also the author of a book titled "Cost & Management Accounting", which is a recommended text of ICWAI and various other Indian universities.

Prof. Bhattacharya holds a M.Com. degree from Calcutta University and MBA with specialisation in Finance from IISWBM. He has also completed, CAIIB from Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, Mumbai, and is a PGDBM from IMM, Kolkata. Prof. Bhattacharya has over 29 years of corporate experience and has held positions of Chief Manager, Head of Foreign exchange department of overseas branch and Branch Incumbent of a reputed nationalised bank. He has independently handled Large Value of Import & Export Transactions, NRI Services, ECBs, DPGs etc.

Prof. Bhattacharya was a full time Senior Faculty at Residential Staff Training College of a large bank in Noida and he is also a governing body member of a reputed college in Kolkata.

An alumnus of prestigious IIT Bombay, Shyamal Tanna has an academic experience of 6 years. He has done his MCA from Saurashtra University in Computer Application. A first class first Gold medalist in Engineering from Jadavpur University Prof. Debraj Dutta has completed his Business Management program from University of Calcutta. Dr. Timothy Stearns is the holder of the Coleman Foundation Chair in Entrepreneurship Studies and Founder/Executive Director of the Lyles Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at California State University, Fresno. Prof. Stearns received his doctorate in management from Indiana University. He has authored more than 75 research articles and presentations.

A B.Com (Hons.) from North Bengal University, Prof. Amitabha Ghose has more than 18 years of Industry and Academic experience. He has completed his MBA from Indian Institute of Business Management, Patna and currently pursuing his Ph.D. Prof. Ghose was associated with companies like Bradma of India Ltd. (A Tata Enterprise), Indianoil Petronas Pvt. Ltd., Dr. Batra’s Positive Health Clinic Ltd., and Theme Ventures. Prof. Goutam Badyopadhyay is a graduate in ‘Operational Research’ from Operational Research Society of India and has completed his Masters from Jadavpur University in Mathematics. His 15 years of teaching experience include different top colleges of the country.

Prof. Dey has over 35 years of industrial and teaching experience and has been a senior faculty member in Marketing and Behavioural Science in reputed Management Institute (U.G.C. & AICTE approved) in Calcutta and outside for 9 years. His areas of teaching are Advertising, Communication & Public Relations; Marketing & Sales and International Trade.

Prof. Subrata Kar has close to 40 years of work experience in Operations Management and Total Quality Management field with Everady Industries Ltd. he has attended a course of ‘Lead Assessor’ for ISO:9000 organised by CII and Batala, UK.

Presently pursuing her Ph.D. (Management) from University of Calcutta, Ipsita is associated with the HR department of Globsyn Business School for more than 5 years. Her research interests includes Emotional Intelligence and she has published a paper in this area in an international conference. She is also looking after the EBSCO enlisted management journal of Globsyn Business School called the 'Globsyn Management Journal'.

Currently pursuing his Ph.D from Alaska-Pacific University, USA, Avik is an MBA from the Institute for Financial Management and Research. Apart from his core teaching assignment his responsibilities include case study development, curriculum development, formulation of assessment tools and methods for the subjects taught and guiding students in their industry internships and dissertations, and training students in Prowess.

A passionate student mentor, Arpita has deep domain experience in Work/Soft skills development of young people. She has successfully conducted Corporate Trainings & Workshops for companies like Acclaris, Blue Dart Express Ltd., Capgemini, ESAB India Ltd., HSBC, to name a few.
